We provide training which is a different style of training to any other skydiving operations in Western Australia. We call it AFF CAMP. The complete course preferably starts on a Monday or Sunday afternoon and finishs on a Friday, but we do try to be flexible, particularly for fly-in fly-out workers. The main thing is that we can have you for four or five days mid-week. Sometimes we have to have a break in the middle for the week over the weekend, because we like to devote one instructor to each student without the distractions we have on busy weekends. Some students have completed up to five jumps in one day, as this makes the course easy for you. Learning to skydive requires some commitment. You need to study your course notes, and concentrate on your instructions.
will be completely responsible for flying and landing your parachute safely and for carrying out your emergency procedures if they were to be necessary. AFF Camp consists of objectives which may be reached in ten jumps. The first of these is a mandatory “training tandem”. This will give you a full dress rehearsal for your first solo jump, and give you a comprehensive lesson on flying and landing your parachute safely. Doing this tandem as part of your training cuts down hours of training on the ground and tends to improve your accuracy so that you can achieve your licence much faster than you would do otherwise. It will also help to get you mentally prepared for your first solo jump, where you will be held onto by two experienced instructors, who will ensure you maintain stability and deploy your parachute at the correct altitude. Your first solo will be followed by two more jumps with two instructors, then another six jumps with one instructor. AFF Camp will be intensive training for those who want to achieve their A-licence quickly, which is the easiest way to do it. The AFF course is the major requirement to achieving your “A” licence, an internationally recognised skydiving licence, issued by the Australian Parachute Federation. If you want to learn to skydive, and continue skydiving regularly, we recommend you start studying for your AFF course. If you just want to jump once, for the experience, we recommend you do a normal fun tandem, which requires very little concentration and training, and where you can land on the beach.
