The entire 10 jump course below cost $2700 all inclusive. The course is objective based.

Stage One Tandem: 12,000 feet. One Instructor.

Your first skydive of the course involves about four hours training, then a tandem skydive where the exit is initiated by the student. You will adopt a stable body position, and conduct some height awareness excercises. At the correct altitude, you will give an awareness check, then deploy the parachute. (Don't worry if you forget, the instructor has one of their own.) You will then be given a one-on-one practical lesson on flying and landing the parachute, and then land the parachute together with your instructor.

Stage One Solo: 12,000. Two Instructors.

After some more training and a written exam, we will consolidate the things you learnt on your tandem with the Stage One Solo. This time you have to climb out of the aircraft with two instructors holding onto you, and perform the same jump as your tandem but wearing your own parachute. Your instructors hold onto you at all times throughout the freefall to insure you stay stable and deploy your parachute at the correct altitude. After you have opened your parachute, one of your instructors will be available to assist you through radio communication if necessary.

Stage Two: 12,000 feet. Two Instructors.

On this skydive, after some more practice pulls, you will learn to move horizontally forward in freefall by sweeping your arms back and straightening your legs. It’s called a “delta”, and is like a dive. It's fast and fun! Then you will try a 90 degree turn using your arms and legs.

Stage Three: 14,000 feet. Two Instructors.

During this stage you will learn the importance of keeping a directional heading. You will concentrate on body position and arm and leg awareness. You will learn to “hover” at a constant speed, and if you are stable, one of your instructors may release you and fly to the front of you and face you

Stage Four: 14,000 feet. One instructor.

Stage Four is a consolidation of the previous jumps to practice your freefall skills and improve your performance. Your instructor will release you.

Stage Five: 14,000 feet. One instructor.

The exit on this skydive may be unlinked to your instructor. You will learn 360 degree turns and forward movement to re-link up with your instructor.

Stage Six: 14,000 feet. One instructor.

This jump is similar to the previous skydive to consolidate your skills and practice your turns. The exit is unlinked.

Stage Seven: 14,000 feet. One instructor.

On this jump you will learn how to do a “dive” exit, which is unlinked. You will learn how to do a backflip, and one of the most important skills in skydiving, “tracking”. This is forward movement while losing as little altitude as possible in order to gain separation from other skydivers.

Stage Eight: 14,000 feet. One instructor.

This jump will demonstrate the concept of flying “relative” to other skydivers. You will learn how to “fastfall” and “slowfall” by changing your body position. You may practice backloops, and your ability to track will be tested, as you perform an “S” turn in your track.

Stage Nine: 4,000 feet. No instructor in freefall.

Known by skydivers as a “hop and pop”, jumping from 4,000 feet will be a slightly different experience to what you are by now used to. With another hanging exit, you will have a three second delay before deploying your parachute. This will familiarize you with getting out of the plane closer to the ground.

Please note: this jump will cost you a carton of beer (or your favourite beverage) to celebrate your completion of the course!

Our full course also includes a DVD of all your solo skydives, normally charged at around $100 per jump at other dropzones.  After your course you will have many new skills. You will be able to look after yourself in freefall, and be a competent canopy pilot.

To obtain your first skydiving licence, your “A” licence, you must complete this freefall course, learn to pack a parachute, complete a written exam, and land ten times within 25 metres of a designated target. We pride ourselves that with our training methods, our students obtain great accuracy and the skills to gain their skydiving licence very quickly. Our aim is that at the end of AFF camp, we will be able to sign your A-licence. But this is only the beginning of what you can learn skydiving. We hope you can join us in this exhilarating and challenging sport. It will test your mind and body. The sense of achievement that you will feel is almost as amazing as the feeling of freefall. If you have ever wanted to fly, skydiving may just change your life!
