WHO WE ARE
The Chief Instructor of Skydive Jurien Bay is Pete Lonnon. Pete is the most experienced Chief Instructor in Western Australia. He has been running Pete's Parachuting at Wickham Skydiving Club near Karratha, Western Australia, since the start of 2003. Between 1994 and 2002 he ran Pete's Parachuting in Darwin where he took thousands of people tandem skydiving onto Darwin's famous Mindle Beach. Pete takes pride in his immacualate safety record as a Chief Instructor, which has never been marred by a serious injury. Pete started skydiving in 1982, so long ago that his first fifty jumps were on an old round parachute. In almost three decades skydiving he has done more than 9000 skydives. He has achieved almost every licence and rating the Australian Parachute Federation has, including "F" licence, old fashioned Static Line Instructor, Accelerated Freefall and Tandem Instructor plus Instructor Examiner Ratings, as well as Licenced Display Organiser and of course Instructor "A". He has at various times sat on the board of the Australian Parachute Federation and the Northern Territory Parachute Council. He is also a commercial aeroplane pilot with thousands of hours "jump flying" under his belt. Pete's partner Chrissy is also a current skydiving Instructor "B" with more than 1300 jumps. Together thay have two small children who are already showing skydiving tendencies!

Our primary tandem instructor is Dan Aldridge. Dan has been skydiving since 2002 and has about 2700 skydives. He has a real passion for the sport of skydiving and has jumped in more than ten countries around the world. His wife, Leslie Aldridge is from Colorado, and with around 500 jumps learnt to skydive a mile high. Dan has base jumped throughout Europe and has only recently located to WA. He loves the lifestyle and the area and is proud to be a part of Skydive Jurien Bay!
Our pilot, Nathan Graham, has more than 500 hours jump flying and 50 skydives. He is nearly as passionate about flying as he is about rugby! He's a kiwi, but we forgive him for that, and has been in Western Australia for over 13 years. He is one of the few people on the planet that Pete trusts to fly his beloved VH-DON. |
